The Biography

It really was a fateful meeting in 1988 – somewhere in Cologne.

Singer VLAD MINT, multi-instrumentalist JAN ERIK and computer-& keyboard-freak WALTER BEE meet and chemistry is top at the first go.

Together they listen to the hits of that time in the countless discos of Cologne and a plan is born that becomes the start of a musician- carreer for the three guys not so much later.

The first recording of this band – they call themselves TOYS is a cover-version of the Sinead O`Connors Hit “NOTHING COMPARES 2 U” – really danceable.

At this point of starting a carreer they need a new name and they decide to call themselves CHYP-NOTIC.

If chemistry is okay a lot of creativity is born and several Chart-positions will demonstrate this in the future.

In the following years they produce smash-hits as “I CAN`T GET ENOUGH” and cover-versions of great hits as “BABY COME BACK” from The Equals or “I`M TIRED OF WAITING” from The Kinks.
